Okay, this is the second book in this.....catagory that I have read. I wanted to try something new and outside my comfort zone. This book could be classified as a M/M romance. Or maybe erotica. I am no expert in these kinds of things. But it really wasn't any different that reading about a straight couple.I don't know how much more outside my comfort zone I can get with this book. If I am being completely honest with myself, I can say that didn't expect to like it at all.
I love when a book just shatters my perceptions.
This book had a pretty good storyline. The game aspect was inventive. It was intense and sexual. All good things right? I am still trying to identify all the emotions this book evoked in me. The words carnal and passionate come to mind when I think of this book. The cover was typical and attractive.
Characters:
Michael knows who he is. He is smart and open to try new things. Rational comes to mind when I think of his personality. Patient is a virture he tries to cultivate and succeeds for the most part. Until the game takes precedence over something he deems more important.
Andrew seems kinda lost and floating around. He needs strict structure to function and doesn't seem to know how to express himself very well without the rules. Always there must be rules.
Read it. But only if you like good sex scenes.

It was interesting to see the game (relationship) evolve between the two guys. It left me curious about both characters and why Andrew was so hellbent on the games. I think it could have been better if it was a little longer and went deeper into the characters and their situation. Other than that, it was a pretty good read.
Daniel notices Andrew immediately and chooses him as his project partner. But there is so much going on below the surface... What drives Andrew in his need to play the games? Why are the writing and studying so difficult for him? Why do the grades seem almost immaterial?
I'm so looking forward to the next book in the series. This is the first I've read by Daryl Banner and look forward to more.
If you like this kind of stuff as I do, just buy them all. I have not yet finished this one a feel compelled to write a STELLAR review. It's titillating, extremely hot, and very sexy stuff! Having been in these situations, it brings back fond, fond memories and a tent down below...

This was my first M/M book & my first male author. The very first thing I noticed was my attention was grabbed on the very first page! The humor & the authors ability to make the reader feel Michael's vulnerability, desperation & anticipation was awesome! Who hasn't lusted after someone in one of their classes, or many?! Daryl took this concept and ran with it! I don't know if it was just this authors humor, sexy writing, or his mad skillz, but it ROCKED😀. I am a forever fan & this is only my first book.
I HIGHLY recommend it--even if you have never read a M/M book before, like I hadn't. I bet you will become a Daryl Banner fan like me! XO
Michael horny with a capital H, and has eyes for the too-hot-to-be-true guy in class. Andrew likes to be in control and play head games, leaving Michael more frustrated than satisfied half the time, and only letting his guard down on one drunken night. Even though Michael gets into the games, he can't tell if Andrew actually cares at all, and a guy can only take so much.
Dorm Game is a great quick read with an excellent balance of funny, steamy, and sweet. I can't wait for more!
My first book by Daryl. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting him at an author signing. He is super awesome in person. One of the reasons I picked this up was his persona. Loved him and his mom.
Now to the book. I really enjoyed reading this. It was such a different take on the M/M relationship. It was intriguing how he made the characters come to life, made you feel the anguish they felt and ultimately found happiness. I don't normally read the shorter books, I read so fast. This was one of the exceptions and I do not regret it. I only want more from Daryl, and I want it SOON! )
If the M/M genre is something you like, you should check this out. It is worth it!
This is my first Daryl Banner book, and I am really pleased that I bought books 1 & 2 simultaneously. I am also happy with "Dorm Game". I like it that we only really get to know the 2 main characters. Michael's room mate is mentioned, but has very little influence on the story.
As I always state in my reviews, I have to like AND identify with at least the main characters to describe a book as "successful". Such is indeed the case with Michael & Andrew in "Dorm Game". I strongly identified with Andrew's character, because he is what I fantasized about many moons ago when I was their age.
The secret hots which Michael had for Andrew brought back very personal memories of my high school days when I had the hots for Derick, one of my class mates, but sadly never ventured to express it to him. {I justified my reticent behavior because of the small town environment where everybody knew everybody, and should Derick not have accepted my advances, I'd have been the gossip news subject of the community......... so sad!!}
Anyway, how our two romance heroes navigated their very different styles of expression until it all came together for the better, is fascinating to put it mildly. This was a fun & exciting read and at only 115 pages for just $5-95, "Dorm Game" is in my view great value for money & time. I plan to read all the Brazen Boys books.
